To give clear, comprehensive and extensive information about the press has been en essential policy of the Press and Information Affairs Office of Ministry of Islamic Culture and Guidance during past years, the effectuation of which requires effective and efficient methods. Accordingly, this ministry's information site, WWW.Press.gov.Ir

was established as the first step to the achievement of this important goal.

In order to achieve electronic government, Ministry's Office for the Press and Information Affairs is planning to expand, through this organizational portal, its activities in accordance to Islamic Republic's macro – programmes and prepare its infrastructure for such a development.

The Goals:

- The replacement of the present secretariat with a paperless one and the using of the means of information exchange as fast as possible between the Press and Information Affairs Office and all sorts mass communication media.

- To make information available about rules, regulations and circulars of the Press and Information Affairs Office.

- To convery news, regulations and statements in a direct way.
